CAS Hearts

I have a serious crush on dies :)......they are so versatile and lend well to any style card. My friend Mary is hosting today's color challenge over at SCS. She chose 3 lovely shades of pink for us to use today.....and well, this girl LOVES pink, so there was no way I was passing this one up ;).

I grabbed my new Heart Dies (SNSS) and a beautiful sheet of paper from the Victoria Gardens 6x6 pad (Echo Park). Once I cut out the shapes I sponged them with Hollyhock ink (CTMH). I stamped the sentiment from Love Sentiments (SNSS) in the same ink.

I know my blog posts are so sporadic....my blogging time is so limited, but I thank you for stopping by when I do post :).

CAS Seashells & Scripture

I'm back! Sorry for the week off from posting....it wasn't my intention....it just sorta happened, but I'm back today with a super fast and easy CAS card for you.


I made this for today's SCS sketch....instead of using DP for the strips above and below the sentiment, I used stamped images from our newly release Beauty by the Sea stamp set. I originally planned on just masking the shells for a one-layer card, but I have such a hard time kicking the dimension habit that I decided to pop up three of the shells. I also added a bit of sparkle with a glitter pen and a couple of score lines with my score board.

Thanks for looking and for being patient with my often times sporadic posting. Life just doesn't always allow for blog posts ;).

CAS Cards are FUN!

How about a clean and simple card today :).....


Not too much to tell here....I stamped the heart with Tulip ink (CTMH) onto white CS and cut it out....added a punched border of white CS and some ribbon and pearls to the card front, then stamped the sentiment in the same color and adhered the heart. Easy peasy and super fast!

As you can see, she is adjusting quite nicely :)!! She is the most lovable doggie we have ever had....we are really enjoying her :)......now if only she could get the house training thing down ;)....

Clean & Simple Christmas

Good morning, friends!

It's amazing what a good night's sleep can do for a person. Praise the Lord for Nyquil :).

I have two really quick and easy cards to share with you today. I actually whipped these up this morning to play along with the CAS challenge on Splitcoast today.



Cindy's lovely card (http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...s&si=CAS96) inspired my creations.

I LOVE this idea as a way to use up those small scraps of paper and ribbon lying around and I am planning to make a ton of these to finish up my Christmas cards for this year :).

For the 1st card:
The sentiment is from the Santa's Helper Cocoa stamp set. The DP is from the Echo Park Merry Christmas collection.

For the 2nd card:
The sentiment is from the Cocoa's Gift stamp set. The DP is from the Echo Park Wintertime collection.

CAS Cross

Remember yesterday I mentioned trying my CAS card with a cross? Well, I did and I love it :)! I changed a couple things besides using the cross.....I sponged instead of brayering, I added a scallop frame and I added some blingage ;) and I must say I really do love it! I think it would make such a nice note card for our church card ministry. The great thing is it would look nice in any color.

The stamp set I used is one of our older sets which, I am thrilled to mention, is being re-released very soon!! It's called Elegant Blessings. You may have noticed this cross is in our logo as well as the DT watermarks :).

I have to go make dinner for my hungry gremlins, so until next time.....

Clean & Simple--I CAN do it!

I CAN but even my family knows it's not me....

When I showed this first card to my son, he said, "What have you done with my mother?" LOL! My husband was also unimpressed, but I guess they just don't appreciate classic elegance ;). I made the top card for today's Splitcoast CAS challenge, which was a garden theme. Are you sitting down?.....it's only ONE layer!!! ACK! I know, I can barely believe it myself! When the idea popped in my head, I just had to go for it. I think it would be great for our church card ministry. Maybe I will stamp a cross in the center next time, hmmmmm.....

The image is from one of our newer releases, Serene Silhouettes and the sentiment is from April Daisy. I used a Nestie Oval to create my own paper stencil, then placed it over the card front and brayered. Pretty simple :).

This next card I made for the Featured Stamper challenge on SCS yesterday. Vicki Dutcher is the lucky lady for this week and I had a blast CASEing her. In fact, I made FIVE, count them, 1- 2-3-4-5 cards for the challenge yesterday!! Let's just say it had been a while, I had the time and I loved her gallery, so I rolled with it ;).

For this card I used our new Forest Silhouettes set, kraft cardstock and a journal pen for faux stitching. Easy peasy!

I have one final item to share with you today, well, technically two....

This precious baby is my friend Lorene's. He is almost 2 weeks old and such a cutie pie!! I wanted to stick him in my pocket and take him home with me--LOL!

And this adorable smiling face is his big sister, Lorinda. She is a trip, let me tell you. When she saw little Jamie getting some quality Kodak time, she needed in on the action ;). Isn't she so cute?!

Lorene is a dear, sweet Mennonite lady who owns a small rubber stamp and scrapbook store in Ephrata, PA where she carries much of the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps line. If you ever get to Lancaster County, PA, I highly recommend you go and see her (and her adorable children). She is super friendly AND funny :) and has awesome, low prices to boot! You won't be sorry---trust me! But stay alert while you are there! You never know what critters might be running around ;).
