Spring Tulips

Today I have a lovely sneak peek to share with you featuring a brand new set being released this Friday called Spring Tulips. The image is available as a digi, as well, but the stamp set really is wonderful :).

The butterfly is from our popular Polka Dot Silhouettes set and the papers are For the Record by Echo Park.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Paper Flower Card

Have you heard of Pinterest? It's a cool place where you can "pin" images of all kinds to your own "boards" but most of all it's FULL of inspiration. In fact one of the cool images I found there showed you how to make a paper rose, so I decided to give it a whirl. It's not my best work, but it was fun and I will definitely keep practicing :).

I pray you have a blessed day. Our services this morning were a huge blessing. God is so good!

Sweet Girl and a Sweet Sketch

I'm a tad late in getting this posted today....ok, maybe a bit more than a tad, but we had a very busy day (and it's not over yet) so I just didn't have the chance to get it up until now.

Today's Sweet Stop sketch is a super easy one so grab your stamps and paper and play along :). We've also announced our winner from out 100th sketch prize so you'll want to stop and see if it's YOU!

Here's my card for today's sketch featuring a sweet Whiff of Joy image I had in my stamped image stash.

I colored her with my Copics (of course) and the papers are just various scraps I found....I love when I can use up some of my scraps :).

Thanks for stopping by! Have a fabulous weekend!

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger

Yes, you are not seeing things.....this is my SECOND post for today!

My stamping buddy, Beate, turned me on to the Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World so I decided to dive right in and give it a whirl ;).

Here is the Trigger image....

I must say this was a really tough challenge for me. The colors are so bright, not my typical to-go colors, but it was fun to step outside my comfort zone a bit.

The image makes me think birthday so I used a "birthday" themed image. In keeping with the color scheme I made one of the packages green with white polka dots, like the cupcake liners and of course you can see all the yellow and orange :). I couldn't help but add a bit of pink to my image even though there isn't any in the trigger image. It just goes so nicely with the color scheme :). Pink grapefruit is citrus, too ;).

Thanks for stopping by again today :).

The sun is finally shining and all the snow melted, so there is still hope for SPRING :).

Hugs,
Korin

CAS Cards are FUN!

How about a clean and simple card today :).....

Not too much to tell here....I stamped the heart with Tulip ink (CTMH) onto white CS and cut it out....added a punched border of white CS and some ribbon and pearls to the card front, then stamped the sentiment in the same color and adhered the heart. Easy peasy and super fast!

Stamps: Polka Dot Silhouettes & Love From Cocoa

And how about a few pics of our newest 4-legged family member :).....

As you can see, she is adjusting quite nicely :)!! She is the most lovable doggie we have ever had....we are really enjoying her :)......now if only she could get the house training thing down ;)....

Thanks for stopping by today :). Have a blessed Thursday!

Just a Note

Today's Crazy 4 Cocoa challenge is polka dots :)!! I LOVE polka dots, but I honestly had a hard time adding them to this card. I am not sure why....perhaps the papers just weren't coming together....anyway.....I ended up going with this brown polka dot ribbon. Not sure it matches too well, but it was the best I could do with what I have without completely starting over ;).

I hope you'll grab your Cocoa images and play along with us today!!

My card uses an image and sentiment from our Love From Cocoa stamp set. I love this sweet image because you can stamp lots of different sentiments on the paper Cocoa is holding. A very versatile image, indeed :). The papers are from a new 6x6 pack I got by Webster's Pages. You just might be seeing them in our store soon ;).....

Thanks for stopping by today. We are heading out shortly to pick up a puppy we are rescuing......yes, we are crazy.......and total pushovers ;)! I'll post more pics later but I do have this one. She's a Doxie and her name is Daisy.

Inky hugs and puppy licks ;),

A Cheerful Tilda

I'm switching things up a bit today so I have a sweet Tilda to share with you. I played along with the Just Magnolia challenge this week which was to use your favorite color combo....lately red and black on on the top of my fave list so here is my creation with a splash of yellow to brighten it up :)....

Those fun papers are from the For the Record collection by Echo Park. LOVE this DP!!

Thanks for stopping by today! I love reading your sweet comments.

100th Sketch Double Take

I really like this week's Sweet Stop sketch, our 100th sketch :).....so I played with it again.....this time with one of our new Bethany Bunny images. Isn't she sweet :)?

The pretty papers are from Echo Park's Springtime collection. They worked so nicely with this softly colored image and I think the pink ribbon adds just the right amount of "pop" :).

Thanks for stopping by today and.....HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING 2011!! :)

Cocoa Loves Springtime!

And so do I :)........this week's challenge over at Crazy 4 Cocoa Challenges is to create a Spring themed Cocoa card so this is what I came up with.

This also happens to be a sneak peek for next month's release :)!!! Cocoa took a short break but he's back again in a brand new set...watch for the release on April 1st.

Mother's Day is in late spring and since I am rarely ahead of the game I thought I'd *try* to get ahead some.

I have been using tons of kraft CS for my card bases lately.....I am not sure why, I just love it, I guess. I also used a bunch of scraps for this card....The floral paper I used for this card is from the Echo Park For the Record line. The red polka dot DP is from K&Co and the green polka dot DP is from Kaiser Kraft.

Thanks for stopping by and putting up with my sporadic posting. This weekend my oldest son turned 13-----ack I am now the mother of a TEENAGER!!!!-----so we were quite busy with parties and such. He bought himself a PSP with his birthday money last night, so I may never see him again ;)!

Here he is surrounded by his friends and brothers waiting for the guy at Laser Quest to TP him....yes, I said TP....the kids thought is was pretty funny ;).

Have a great day, stampy friends!!

A day of stamping with friends :)

A bit of history.........I LOVE stamping get-togethers.....when we moved a few years ago I didn't really know any stampers in my new area so I stopped hosting the fun get-togethers I had been hosting for years and I can tell you, that made me very sad. If you know me, you know I am a people person. I LOVE being around other ladies who enjoy the same things I enjoy. As time has passed, I have met more and more local stampers, one of them being Denise Marzec. We hit it off right from the start :). She is a sweet, sweet lady and I just love her :)!! Well, we put our heads together and decided we wanted to have a stamping get-together. Our first meager event was held at my church this past fall and included 8 fine ladies. Our second event was this past weekend at L&L Rubber Stamps in Ephrata and guess what??? Our group doubled since the first get-together :). How exciting!!!! Our group is actually larger yet, but some of the ladies couldn't come this time and we sure missed them!

I look forward to watching this group continue to grow as we find more and more local stampers. And I will be planning events as my schedule allows so if you are one of these fine ladies.....watch those inboxes :)!!

Now how about some pics from Saturday's get-together :).....

Denise fondly named us the Purple Papercrafters when the four of us showed up in purple :)

I finally got to meet Jen Nevil....what a sweetie :)!!! I wish we could have chatted more, but we were at opposite sides of the room. Next time!! :)

Carol snapped this pic of me by myself....I rarely pose for pics like this, but how could I not for Carol. She is such a doll :).

And here is the whole group :)....

Yes, that is a WALL OF STAMPS behind us and if you "rent" to room, you can stamp those images to your heart's content :).

Denise had to leave a bit early and when she was done packing up she was just chillin' at the table so I snapped this adorable pic of her. This pic totally makes me smile :)! Love you, GF!

Ok, now I have to run. Monday morning and all that jazz!

Watch for more info soon about our next event. If you are in the Eastern PA area and want to be included in our emails, please let me know!!

Hugs and smiles,
Korin

A Sweet Tilda & A Sketch

It's Saturday again and time for another fun sketch brought to you by The Sweet Stop :)! For my sketch card sample I used this sweet Tilda image. I challenged myself to use colors I rarely use, so this is what I came up with. I am really happy with how the image turned out :). I had never colored really dark brown hair before and I think it looks pretty good for the first time.....plus I just LOVE her adorable hair style.

Thanks for stopping by today. I am getting ready to head out for a day of stamping with a bunch of fabulous ladies. Pics to follow :)!

Inky hugs,
Korin

P.S. I have also entered this for the following Magnolia challenge :).

Be Still

That title sure speaks volumes, doesn't it? How often do we just stop and BE STILL? Not very.....in this fast-paced age, no one has time to stop and be still....so today, I encourage you to just stop.......breath.......and be still. Give God just a few quiet moments of your time and reflection. Let Him fill you for the day ahead.....

I am "dedicating" this card today to a sweet friend who is really struggling.....growing weary......it is my prayer for her today that she is able to just take a few moments to calm her spirit and allow our Heavenly Father to give her peace....HIS supernatural peace.....the peace that passes all understanding. Friend, you are in God's care and HE will carry you through!

Thanks for stopping by today! I pray YOU, too, will KNOW God's peace today!

Hugs,
Korin

Little Leo Lion

I have to tell you that I just LOVE this little lion from our new Circus digi collection. He's just so sweet and perfect for baby cards.

The technique challenge on SCS this week was handmade tickets. Since it's a pretty easy one and I had a few minutes plus this sweet image colored and ready to go, I decided to play along.

I wish I knew where the dotted paper I used comes from but it was gifted to me a long time ago and I can't remember the maker of it.....maybe Die Cuts With a View???

I added some fun orange fibers to the card to compliment Leo's mane and the punched border is a scrap from the Little Girl collection by Echo Park Paper.

Just a quick and easy card for you today :). I hope you like it!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Don't forget to enter our blog candy give-away of our entire March release over at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Blog. You have until Saturday to enter.

Inky hugs,

Yay for Release Day at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!! We have 6 fabulous new stamp sets for you today.....

If you love the whole collection, you can save $7 when you purchase our March Release Bundle!

And guess what???!!!.......we are giving away the WHOLE collection to one lucky stamper over at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps blog!!

Here's a card I made using the adorable Rainy Day Bethany set....

I actually made this for the Paper Crafts Magazine Stamp It Cards call, but it didn't make the cut, so I get to share it here for all to see :). I had so much fun coloring this image. You know how much this girl loves to color :)!

And speaking of coloring.....what do you think of this cutie-patootie :)????

Our Crazy 4 Cocoa challenge for this week is to use ric-rac on your card. I love how vibrant this card turned out and the colors are so much fun! The image and sentiment are both from A Cocoa Kind of Birthday. I honestly think this might be my favorite Cocoa image. :)

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you'll take a moment to stop by the website to see our new release AND the SNSS blog to enter for the whole release give-away!

Inky hugs,
Korin
