You're Too Kind!

Hooray for another fun Sweet Stop sketch :).

Today I have a Magnolia card for you. It took me a while to come around with these images, but now I really do enjoy them :) and although I cannot afford them, I do have a few stamped images that some friends shared with me so I can share them here with you :).

This one is just so sweet and worked perfectly for today sketch. The sentiment I used is from Sweet 'n Sassy's Gifts From Turtle stamp set.

The paper are just scraps I had in my scrap drawer......I think the stripe is from Basic Grey's Mellow pad. The yellow flowered paper is also from Basic Grey, but I cannot recall which pad.

Thanks for stopping by today! And thanks for always leaving me such encouraging comments. "You're too kind :)!!"

Sneak Peek-New Creature

We have a beautiful new butterfly stamp set being released on February 1st and I am so excited to be sharing it with you today :). The set is called New Creature and not only will we be releasing it as a stamp set, but as a digi, too. We know you digi fans will love that ;)!

For my card today I played along with the color inspiration challenge over at CPC this week. This is a pretty simple design, but the scripture and butterfly certainly speak volumes, don't you think?

The paper is Basic Grey's Ambrosia.....the perfect compliment for this butterfly.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a fabulous weekend!!

Rest in the Lord

Happy Thursday, friends!

It snowed quite a bit again yesterday and last night and although I am not really looking forward to clearing the driveway, it sure is beautiful :).

Today I want to share a brand new digi with you. This is Bedtime Molly. She is also available in color.....these colors in fact :).

I wasn't sure what sentiment I wanted to pair with this and then it came to me....why not a fitting scripture :). This verse comes in the Wait on the Lord stamp set.

I really like the layout so you maybe seeing it again as a Sweet Stop sketch in the near future :).

The DP is from Memory Box....such soft, lovely papers! I also added some crackle paint, which I haven't used in a long time, to give it sort of a shabby chic look :).

Thanks for stopping by! May you rest in the Lord today!!

Meet Bethany Bunny

She is a brand digi new character coming February 1st to Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. Isn't she sweet :)?

I paired her up with a sentiment from a new clear set, Benjamin Bunny, also being released on February 1st. The layout is a variation of the sketch challenge on Splitcoaststampers today.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a fabulous day!

It's Crazy 4 Cocoa Day!

And today we wanna see buttons :).....SEW, I thought the Sew Happy Cocoa set would be perfect for the theme.

I went a little crazy with the pink, but it totally works, don't you think ;)? Oh my goodness, now I am rhyming LOL!! The papers are Echo Park's Be Mine Collection.

I hope you will join the Cocoa Crazies this week and show us Cocoa and buttons :).

Thanks for stopping by today!!

I hope your day is full of God's goodness and love!

God's Mercies

Happy Sunday to you!

I am actually scheduling this post....oh my goodness, can you believe it?? LOL! I RARELY have time to schedule a post and I most often quickly throw them together on a whim, but I happen to have a bunch of cards ready to go, so I thought since it's actually early Saturday morning as I type this, perhaps I could get a few posts scheduled while the house is quiet and no one is demanding my attention ;).

I made this card for a challenge over at Christian Paper Crafts on Thursday night. Would you believe it took me less than 45 minutes to create?? They held their first Praise & Paper Craft Night with a bunch of challenges and lots of fun, but each challenge came with an additional challenge---to create your card in 45 minutes or less. It was fun to see how quickly this card came together.

I was only able to play along for the first challenge of the night, but I just might try the rest of the challenges today (Saturday, again as I type this). I need a quiet day of stamping after such a long week.

Anyway, back to the card.....I used one of our older stamp sets, Everyday Miracles (which also happens to come in digi form), coupled with a new set, New Creature, being released February 1st. I just love butterflies.....they are one of God's most interesting and beautiful creatures. A big, fat, and sometimes ugly caterpillar turning into something so magnificent is such a beautiful picture of what happens to a person when they come to Christ. I can't wait to get to Heaven and see all the "butterflies" there :)! What a glorious and beautiful place it will be :)!!

The paper I used for this card is called Gossamer by Memory Box. I had been sort of hoarding it for a while, but finally decided to break it out so the rest of you could enjoy it's splendor :).

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

I pray you have a blessed day of worshiping our Lord!

You Warm My Heart

Good morning, friends!

Today I bring you another fun Sweet Stop Sketch card. This time I used a silly image from Penny Black that someone RAK'd me a while back.

I have to say, I am not a big "pig" person, but these two crack me up with those big fru-fru hats of theirs.

I hope you will join the Sugar Babies this week and play along with the sketch. It's a pretty simple one and can be used with most any image.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a great weekend!

A tough week.....but I'm still here.

What a crazy week it's been...too many things going on to mention them all but I do want to share a little bit about today with you.......

Earlier today we attended a funeral for a man from our church who passed away Sunday night. He was 84 years old and he lost a tough battle with cancer. The service was a great celebration of his life and a tremendous blessing to my soul. You see, this man fought God for many years....he watched many of his family members, including his wife and children, accept Christ one by one but he just wasn't ready to make a decision himself....that is until May of 2009 at the age of 82. God finally got a hold of his heart and he accepted the precious gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord!!! So today, my friends, wasn't a day of mourning but a day of celebration! Sonny is now in the presence of His Savior....his pain and suffering are gone.....he'll never shed another tear and he will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. AMEN and AMEN!

He is survived by is dear wife Millie, their 6 children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and I trust that each of them in attendance today were greatly touched by the testimonies shared of his salvation and the change it brought in his life. I trust they are rejoicing in his home-going and many look forward to the day when they will see him again in glory. What a glorious reunion it will be!

We never know when our last breath on this earth will be taken....but we can know that when that last breath is taken our next moment will be in Heaven. If you are not 100% sure that if you took your final breath on this earth your next moment would be spent in Heaven, I invite you to trust Christ right now. He's waiting for you. He wants you to come to Him. He loves you more than you could ever imagine. Each of us has an appointment with death.....it's the punishment for our sin, but for those who know Christ as their personal savior, death is only the glorious beginning! Won't you trust Christ today? Believe in your heart that He died for YOUR sins and that He was raised from the dead on the third day, conquering death and sin for YOU! All you have to do is tell Him. Pour your heart out to Him. Thank Him for who He is and what He did for YOU and ask Him to save YOU! Make the choice that Sonny made and find peace.....peace that passes all understanding.

Praise the Lord for His unspeakable gift....the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Many Blessings

I don't know about you, but I just don't have time to read books (other than my Bible, that is). Milton Mouse, on the other hand, has all the time in the world :). This image is called Milton's Good Book...doesn't it just make you smile :)?

Oh to have the time to sit and relax with a good book :)......although, admittedly, I would rather just make cards ;)......

Anyway, for my card I followed this week's fabulous sketch over at Splitcoaststampers. I really had to rummage through my papers to find three that complimented each other nicely, but I think I managed.

The floral paper is from a DCWV 4x6 pad (not sure of the name). The other two patterns are from the Little Boy line by Echo Park. Can you tell I love this paper? I use it all the time :).

I also wanted to mention on a different note.....if you are interested in being a part of a GREAT community of Christian paper crafters, I highly recommend you join Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps over at Christian Paper Crafts. This month we joined CPC as a partner company and, I must tell you, it has been a tremendous blessing to me. The fellowship is so sweet, the challenges are a blast and the inspiration is endless :). I hope you will take a moment to check it out: Christian Paper Crafts

Oh and by the way.....as a member of CPC you get some fabulous added perks.....like sneak peeks of our new releases before anyone else, the opportunity to preorder our new release 2 weeks before it's release date, special access to our CPC release parties and lots more!! I hope to see you there!

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day :).

Feel Better Soon

Just a quick post today.....it's Monday and there is lots to do ;).

I made this bright and cheerful card for one of the CPC challenges to make a get well card. I used a precolored Spot digi and paired it with the Little Boy papers from Echo Park.

Gotta scoot......thanks for stopping by today!

Melody of Love & Copic Tutorial Part 2

Today the card I have to share with you features an image that, I must admit, intimidated me.....we have had this gorgeous set (Melody of Love) for a long time and I had not colored the image until now. I am so glad I finally gave it a go :).

I paired the image with a verse from the Sing Unto the Lord stamp set. The sets were made to coordinate :).

The card was made for two challenges: Christian Paper Craft's Bible Verse Thursday challenge was to make a song inspired card and Splitcoaststampers Free 4 All Friday challenge was to use the colors purple & pink and include a heart somewhere on your card.

I also finished up Part 2 of the Tea Time Cocoa image Copic Tutorial.

Sorry about the crazy lighting. Not sure what was going on there and especially at the end, but hopefully you get the idea :).

Here is the finished image in the true light...well, sort of ;)....

Thanks for stopping by and leaving such encouraging comments. You are a blessing to me!

Sparkly Daisies & Copic Tutorial

Good morning friends,

Today I have a sparkly spring card to share with you PLUS my first ever video tutorial :)!

First the card.....

The SCS Technique Challenge this week was to paint with Stickles and boy did I have fun with this one :). Painting with Stickles is fun!!

I used our lovely April Daisy set illustrated by Leah Cornelius. The papers are from the Basic Grey Origins line.

Now for the tutorial. Please be gentle as this is my very first video tutorial. The very last part got cut off thanks to my beginner editing skills but fortunately I was finished.

If you have trouble viewing the video here, you can go directly to YouTube to view it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQh2mnrcVno

I will be working on a Part 2 video where I will be coloring the tea cup, so watch for that soon :).

I hope you enjoy both the card and the tutorial :).

Blessings,
Korin

Tutorial for Robyn :)

One of the things I hear all the time is, "I have no idea how to use digis." A new friend I met over at Christian Paper Crafts has this same dilemma so I told her I would create a tutorial for her :)....and here it is in case it might be a help anyone else.....

Click each picture for a larger image.....

Opening & Printing Digis in Photoshop 7

Let me also add here...place your preferred cardstock in the paper tray of your printer before you click OK :).

I hope this tutorial was helpful. If you would like to see other tutorials, please let me know and I will see what I can do.

More Hugs & Kisses

Over at Crazy 4 Cocoa Challenges today we want you to make something reflecting a New Year's resolution.

My New's Year's Resolution is to give my family MORE hugs and kisses in 2011. It may sound silly, but I know how important it is for our loved ones to FEEL loved and they are so often taken for granted so I want to make sure they know I love them by my affectionate hugs and kisses :).

So.....my card features this fun new Cocoa digi, Cocoa's Heart, with a sentiment from the new set Love From Cocoa.

I hope you will join us this week :)!!

Blessings,
Korin

Birds & Roses

The weather has been unseasonably warm here the last couple of days so I have a lovely spring card to share with you today :). This image was illustrated by a sweet Mennonite lady, Rachel Zimmerman, who has an amazing knack for capturing the beauty of God's creation. I am so thrilled to have been given the opportunity to share her talent with the stamping world :).

You can find this lovely image in a new stamp set called Birds & Roses which has just been released at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. It also includes many encouraging sentiments to go with this beautiful image.

The sheet music background stamp is by Stampendous. I thought it would be a great compliment to this image. Can't you just hear these beautiful blue birds singing praises to God? :)

Thanks for stopping by today!

Many blessings to you,
~Korin

New, New, & More New!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! I hope you had a great New Year's Eve and that you can enjoy a nice relaxed day today :).

It's a new year and we have new stamps, new digis, a new card kit, a new DT, a new sketch, and a new special.....a FREE stamp set with your $25 purchase......WOW! What an exciting day :)!

First let me just remind you that it is release day at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps! I really hope you will take a moment to check out all that new stuff I mentioned :).

Here's a quick card I made using one of our new scripture sets, Our Refuge. It only took about 5 minutes to put this together. I paired up the verse with some lovely images from a set I got yesterday called Treasure Life from CTMH. I couldn't resist....the flowers went so nicely with the scripture, don't you think :)?

Secondly, let me share.....there are some new Sugar Babies in town :)!!! I hope you will stop by each of their blogs and give them a warm Sweet Stop welcome :).

Denise Marzec (our new Sugar Baby DT Coordinator)
Dawn Easton
Lori McAree
Shelby Goolsby
Wendy Ramlakhan
Christine Dol

And now my card for today's Sweet Stop sketch.....

As you know I had colored a whole bunch of non-SNSS images over Christmas vacation and well, I couldn't resist using this darling little penguin for my Sweet Stop card today :).

I want to take a moment to say THANK YOU! Thank you for stopping by my blog throughout this past year and leaving me so many sweet words of encouragement. You are more of a blessing to me than you know.

Now, I really wanted to leave you today with some profound thought about new years and new beginnings, but I don't know that I can be profound without my coffee so early in the morning ;) so I will just leave you with this......

May you look back on 2010 with thanksgiving for all of the many blessings you received....and may you look ahead to 2011 with a greater passion to live for the Lord and a greater hope in the promise of our soon coming Savior! May 2011 be your BEST YEAR YET!

Much love,
~Korin
